On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, the Milwaukee Cultural Facilities Task Force will be meeting at the Milwaukee Art Museum.  The meeting is expected to run from 8:00am to Noon.  At this meeting, the 48-member task force will hear from different community leaders about how cultural and entertainment events can help create a more vibrant Milwaukee Metro Community and benefit the region as a whole.

There is a new member of the committee, Sarah Watterson, who works for new Bucks owner Wes Edens and Fortress Capital as their director of investor relations.  In somewhat a changing of the guard, Watterson will replace on the committee, Ron Walter, a local attorney and long-time EVP of Business Operations for the Bucks according to Don Walker. Watterson presumably will be participating on the committee in order to be the liason for the Bucks. If you have the time to attend, we encourage anyone to sit in on the session. Paul Henning of SaveOurBucks.com will be there. Let’s give him some company!

Draft Party Recap

Last week SaveOurBucks.com in conjunction with Urban Milwaukee and Bucksketball had a draft party at Upper 90 to celebrate and watch the lottery. It was a great success with a good time had by all. To get a flavor of the night, freelance reporter Aron Yohannes covered this event. His video report is below.

We are all excited about the new ownership and earning the #2 selection in the 2014 NBA draft. We hope to host a similar party for the June 26, 2014 NBA Draft. Stay tuned for details.

In the meantime, if you would like to read more fan reaction to the upcoming draft, we encourage you to check out the draft discussion that BrewHoop hosted last night or the on-going draft thread at RealGM.com. Go Bucks!

Come on, you know you've got something to say about this...
